We ensure all our staff are skilled and receive training to bring them up to the top level of their profession. In Lancashire there are specialised training centres where employees can learn numerous skills. Nutrition, Health and Safety, Cooking Skills, Craft Skills are just some of the courses that are on going.

We feel this greatly improves the service we provide and it is reflected in the quality of the food on the plate and the highly motivated catering teams in all schools.

  • School meals in Lancashire only use chicken and pork that has been produced from British farms. Our sausages are locally produced and have won awards for quality.
  • We take pride in sourcing locally grown fresh food for our lunches including: Root and green vegetables and salads from Lancashire Farms, Fruit yoghurt from Ann Foreshaw’s in Longridge and Fresh milk from cows grazed in Lancashire.
  • We are proud that the majority of our dishes are kitchen made from fresh ingredients each day.
  • We take pride in helping the environment. We are working to reduce our carbon footprint and aim to use recycled products wherever possible.
